Catch up with the daily NRA-ILA Alert! view the web version of this email DAILY ALERT FOR Thursday, January 23, 2020   LEGAL & LEGISLATION Washington: Mag Ban & Other Bills Heading to Senate Floor On January 23rd, the Washington Senate Law & Justice Committee approved three anti-gun bills, among them Senate Bill 6077 to ban most standard capacity magazines. These bills are now headed to the Rules Committee awaiting being pulled to the Senate floor. In addition, the House of Representatives passed House Bill 1010 to allow the state patrol to destroy confiscated firearms, clearing the way to send this bill to the Senate.    LEGAL & LEGISLATION Virginia: House Committee Hearing Anti-Gun Bills Tomorrow On January 24th at 8AM, the Virginia House Public Safety Committee will be hearing a number of anti-gun bills. As with the Senate, the committee may take action on these bills immediately after hearing them.   LEGAL & LEGISLATION Virginia: Senate Passes "Red Flag", Committee Refuses to Punish Criminals On January 22nd, the Virginia Senate voted to pass Senate Bill 240 to suspend Second Amendment rights and confiscate firearms without sufficient due process. It will now move to the House of Delegates for further consideration. That evening, the Senate Judiciary Committee rejected a number of bills to impose harsher penalties on criminals and chose instead to approve more restrictions on your constitutional right to protect yourself and your loved ones.   LEGAL & LEGISLATION Nebraska: Anti-Gun Lawmakers Readying Action on "Red Flag" Firearm Seizure Bill "Red Flag" Firearm Seizure Legislation, Legislative Bill 58, is currently awaiting action in the Judiciary Committee.    LEGAL & LEGISLATION Oregon: Attend NRA-ILA Grassroots Workshops To Help Protect Your Rights Our Second Amendment rights in Oregon are continually under attack, and we need your help to fight back!
