The Senate Government Organization Committee previously heard SB 96 on January 16th.   LEGAL & LEGISLATION Georgia: Carry Permit Reciprocity Bill in Committee House Bill 787 has been assigned to the House Public Safety and Homeland Security Committee for consideration. It is a critical bill to expand the ability of law-abiding citizens to defend themselves and their families both within Georgia and in other states.   LEGAL & LEGISLATION Alabama: Lifetime Carry Permit Legislation Assigned Committees This week, legislation to create a new lifetime carry permit for state residents has been referred to committees in their respective chambers. Although no hearings have been scheduled, your voice of support early in the process will make sure we get these critical bills passed this session.   LEGAL & LEGISLATION New Mexico: Senate Public Affairs Passes Extreme "Red Flag" Legislation to Judiciary Committee Yesterday, the Senate Public Affairs Committee passed "Red Flag" gun confiscation legislation, Senate Bill 5, by a party line 4-3 vote.   LEGAL & LEGISLATION Virginia: House Floor Vote Tomorrow For Anti-Gun Bills On January 30th, the Virginia House of Delegates will hold floor votes on the gun control bills rushed through the Public Safety Committee last week. Among them is House Bill 674 to take away Second Amendment rights in limited court proceedings.
