This week, the Legislature passed and the Governor signed SB 118, the budget trailer bill that includes an expansion of California's "Assault Weapons Control Act" and expedites the effective date on firearm parts checks from 2024 to 2022. Additionally, various policy committees continued to push anti-gun and anti-hunting legislation through the process.
