Last night, the Washington Senate suspended the rules and approved an amended version of Carry Ban Legislation, Senate Bill 5038.    LEGAL & LEGISLATION South Carolina: Open Carry Bill Committee Hearing Moved to Next Week On March 2nd, the House Judiciary Committee will hear House Bill 3094, to legalize the open carry of handguns. It is being rescheduled from the February 23rd hearing. Previously, on February 10th, the General Laws Subcommittee issued a favorable report to HB 3094 and advanced it to the full committee.   LEGAL & LEGISLATION New Hampshire: House Passes Self-Defense Legislation Yesterday, the House of Representatives held a floor vote on self-defense legislation, House Bill 197.    LEGAL & LEGISLATION Colorado: Multiple Anti-Gun Bills Scheduled for Committee Hearings Next Week Next week, House Bill 1106 and Senate Bill 78 are scheduled for committee consideration on Monday and Thursday, respectively.    LEGAL & LEGISLATION Texas: MORE NRA-Backed Legislation Protecting Second Amendment Rights During Disasters Introduced In House And Prioritized By Speaker Dade Phelan On Wednesday, we reported to you on House Bill 2249 and Senate Bill 18, NRA-backed bills which establish that firearms and ammunition manufacturers, distributors, wholesalers, suppliers and retailers are essential businesses that shall not be prohibited by state or local officials from operating during a declared disaster or emergency.
