Catch up with the daily NRA-ILA Alert! view the web version of this email DAILY ALERT FOR Tuesday, March 16, 2021   LEGAL & LEGISLATION Washington: Executive Session Scheduled to limit self-defense options on Friday On Friday, March 19, the House Civil Rights and Judiciary Committee has scheduled an executive session for a Committee vote on anti-gun legislation, Senate Bill 5038.    LEGAL & LEGISLATION South Carolina: Constitutional Carry Advances from House Judiciary Committee Today, the House Judiciary Committee issued a favorable report for House Bill 3096, The South Carolina Constitutional Carry Act of 2021, sponsored by Representative Bobby Cox (R-21).   LEGAL & LEGISLATION Kansas: Gun Safety Education Bill Scheduled for House Vote Tomorrow Tomorrow, gun safety education legislation, House Bill 2089, is scheduled to receive a vote on the House Floor.   LEGAL & LEGISLATION Nevada: Gun Control Getting Rammed Through the NV Legislature Today, the Assembly Judiciary Committee noticed a hearing for tomorrow (Wednesday), at 8AM, on a bill that was introduced less than 24 hours prior and has been in print with actual bill language even less time. Yesterday, March 15th, on what was supposed to be the bill filing deadline in both chambers (and has now been extended), AB 286 was introduced to massively expand "gun-free zones" in Nevada, and to end the centuries-old practice of home-building firearms for personal use.   LEGAL & LEGISLATION Indiana: Lawful Carry Bill Still Sitting in Senate Judiciary Committee Though House Bill 1369 has already been referred to the Senate Judiciary Committee, the committee has yet to schedule it for a hearing.   LEGAL & LEGISLATION Iowa: House Hearing Permitless Carry & Frivolous Lawsuit Prevention Tomorrow, the House is scheduled to hold floor debate for House File 621, to protect Second Amendment rights from frivolous lawsuits, and House File 756, for permitless carry and other pro-gun measures.   LEGAL & LEGISLATION New Hampshire: Legislation to Fix Handgun Purchase Process Heads to Senate Floor for a Vote On Thursday, the New Hampshire Senate is expected to vote on pro-gun legislation, Senate Bill 141   LEGAL & LEGISLATION Colorado: Yesterday's House Committee Hearing Rescheduled to Tomorrow for Multiple Pro-Gun Measures The Colorado House State, Civic, Military, & Veterans Affairs Committee has rescheduled yesterday's agenda to Tomorrow, March 17.    LEGAL & LEGISLATION Delaware: Bill Introduced to End Home-Built Firearms On Thursday, Representative Valerie Longhurst (D-15), introduced House Bill 125 to essentially end the centuries-old practice of home-built firearms for personal use. It is currently in the House Administration Committee for consideration.
