Catch up with the daily NRA-ILA Alert! view the web version of this email DAILY ALERT FOR Wednesday, March 3, 2021   LEGAL & LEGISLATION Utah: Self-Defense Bills Awaiting Senate Action The 2021 legislative session ends on Friday, March 5th, and two important self-defense bills are eligible for action on the Senate floor.   LEGAL & LEGISLATION South Dakota: Stand Your Ground Enhancement Legislation Scheduled for Committee Consideration Tomorrow Tomorrow morning, the Senate Judiciary Committee is scheduled to consider House Bill 1212.   WASHINGTON EXAMINER Democrats Push to Limit Guns, But More People Want Them Democrats on Tuesday announced plans to re-up their push for new gun control measures, but they face a recently changed landscape of more people than ever, especially black people and women, buying firearms for protection. What's more, the promoters of the package to expand FBI background checks are facing demands from liberals to do far more, including banning the sale of semi-automatic firearms and registering ammunition.   LEGAL & LEGISLATION Kentucky: House Passes Bill to Prevent Discrimination Against Firearm Businesses Today, the House of Representatives passed House Bill 175 by a vote of 73-21. It prevents discrimination against firearm businesses. This bill is also considered critical legislation by the National Shooting Sports Foundation, and the Congressional Sportsmen's Foundation. HB 175 now goes to the Senate for further consideration.   LEGAL & LEGISLATION South Dakota: Two Pro-Gun Bills Head to the Governor's Desk for Signature Today, the South Dakota House gave final approval to a pair of pro-gun measures, Senate Bill 100 and Senate Bill 111.   LEGAL & LEGISLATION Oregon: Your Action Needed – Urge Committee Members to Oppose Legislation Creating Indefinite Delays on Firearm Transfers On Thursday, March 4 at 1:00pm, the House Committee on Judiciary is scheduled to hear anti-gun House Bill 2543, legislation that allows for indefinite delays on firearm transfers.   NEWS LEGAL & LEGISLATION  NRA-backed Stand Your Ground Becomes Law in Arkansas The National Rifle Association applauds Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson and the state legislature for passing SB 24 and making stand your ground legislation the law.    LEGAL & LEGISLATION West Virginia: Campus Carry Bill Referred to Committee Senate Bill 246 has been referred to the Senate Judiciary Committee. It ensures that law-abiding adults are not stripped of their right to self-defense when they cross an arbitrary boundary onto a college campus.   LEGAL & LEGISLATION Tennessee: Pro-Gun Constitutional Carry Legislation Advances in Both Chambers – Faces Backlash from Fringe Fundraising Groups Today, House Bill 786 passed out of the House Criminal Justice Subcommittee, and now heads to the full committee.  Last night, the Senate Judiciary Committee approved NRA-backed Constitutional Carry legislation, Senate Bill 765, sending the measure to the Senate Finance Committee for further consideration.    LEGAL & LEGISLATION Alabama: Lifetime Carry Permit Bill Introduced Yesterday, House Bill 477 was introduced to create a new lifetime carry permit option for state residents. Speaker McCutcheon, along with Public Safety and Homeland Security Committee chair Rep.
