Let's hold our politicians accountable

Fellow Conservative, How do you feel about the hypocrisy of Leftist elites? I've seen too many appalling cases up close recently. For example, they talk about wearing masks as if it were the greatest moral imperative of our time. But then leaders like Mayor Bowser in DC, Congresswoman AOC, and former President Obama all break their own rules when it's convenient for them and their comrades. On Tuesday, we also saw tons of politicians advance a "bipartisan" infrastructure bill that would spend $1 trillion and open the gate to $3.5 trillion more via reconciliation. This included nearly 20 Republicans supporting it. Not exactly in line with the value of fiscal responsibility that you expected when you sent your senators to DC, is it? One of the major reasons that Heritage came into existence is to ensure that your representatives actually live out the principles that you expect them to. So, our whole Hermann Center team has been hard at work this week pointing out the flaws with these reckless policies. And our friends at Heritage Action have made the issue a "key vote" to turn up the pressure on Hill offices that just don't seem to care. We'll keep fighting for fiscal sanity here in Washington, even when it's not popular. What do you think can stop the endless spending? And how would you like to see my Heritage colleagues be good advocates for your beliefs? Best, Andrew If you'd rather not hear from me again, click here and I will stop sending emails to johnmhames1.hoax-change-post@blogger.com.
