You can correct the record on American history

Fellow Conservative,

The decisions that our country makes now will have continued effects on future generations.

People like President Washington knew this when he said, "It should be the highest ambition of every American to extend his views beyond himself" and that each person's conduct can either "stamp political happiness or misery on ages yet unborn."

This week, Heritage got a new class of nearly 50 interns! I've met many of them already and am looking forward to spending some time investing in these future leaders. Doing so is an important part of living out Washington's advice.

One of the biggest parts of the Heritage internship is learning an accurate history of the American Founding. This content is so good that I wanted to share some of it with you.

Here's our new series called "America and the Struggle for Freedom." In the videos, Heritage expert Joe Loconte looks at some of the core principles of our nation. They really inspire a renewed sense of patriotism!

The three video episodes are unlisted online, but I wanted you to have access as one of our supporters. Please share this with your friends and family and let us know what they think. This is a powerful antidote to the leftist rewriting of American history.

Best,

Andrew

P.S. On another side of the cultural battlefield, we scored a big win this week with the SCOTUS decision on the Biden vaccine mandate! Make no doubt about it, because of your support we are going to keep fighting and we are going to keep winning! Celebrate with us and watch this response from Heritage President Dr. Roberts: https://youtu.be/9ab06nsFvx8

Superbowl anti-gun ad, hope it backfires on them

PAT DOLLARD YOUNG AMERICANS 11 Hours Ago Bloomberg to Air Gun Control Ad During Superbowl Feb 2, 2013Toro520 Via The Associated Press: NEW YORK (Associated Press) – A gun control group founded by New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg is airing a Super Bowl advertisement calling for background checks. The 30-second spot by Mayors Against Illegal Guns will air in the Washington area during the game between the Baltimore Ravens and San Francisco 49ers. The ad calls on lawmakers to pass rules requiring background checks on guns. It is narrated by children, with “America the Beautiful” playing in the background. It includes decades-old footage of National Rifle Association Executive Vice President Wayne LaPierre saying the gun lobby group approves of the checks. LaPierre recently testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee that the NRA no longer supports background checks for all gun sales. A Bloomsberg spokesman would say only that the ad cost in the six-figure range....
