I was just reading a recent article, "U.S. to hit more than 1 million border encounters just halfway through the fiscal year."

It's clear that the Biden administration has created the worst immigration crisis our country has ever faced. Since day one, they immediately ended the effective policies that worked to keep our border secure.

Now every day you see men, women, and young children trafficked across the border by violent smugglers and drug cartels who extort them, abuse them, and even kill them.

What's more—the crisis has opened the floodgates to a surge of deadly drugs like fentanyl, which have become a serious problem in cities and towns across our country.

Simply put, the administration's policies have sent a message to the world—a message that says America's borders are wide open, and that lawbreaking is tolerated, and in some cases, rewarded.

The Heritage Foundation is sending a message every day that we will fight back against the open borders policy extremism of the Left that weakens our country and makes our citizens less safe.
