The best way to spend a work day

Fellow Conservative,  Some childhood memories stick around for a lifetime. For instance, I still remember my first public speaking competition when I was 7 years old. Although I was fearful, my dad helped me through it and taught me the importance of preparation and confidence. Now, every time I give a speech on behalf of our 500,000 Heritage members, I lean on my dad's lesson from many years ago. Kids are very impressionable. And we can teach them valuable lessons even from a young age. That's why Heritage cancelled our work meetings yesterday to bring our sons and daughters to work. I wanted you to have a special look at the programming we did for the 40 kids who spent the day at Heritage. You're one of the only people to see it. You can access the event agenda at this link. We had civics lessons about the purpose of government, interactive workshops on how Heritage creates podcasts and videos, and time to write notes to people who have invested in their lives. Plus, a George Washington impersonator to share a bit of American history! Hopefully, this event helped these kids understand why you and I love America.
